The opposition Democratic Party (DP), has called for more investigations into the disapperance of allged opposition support 18 among whom are said to have belonged to National Unity Platform (NUP). The remaks were made by the party youth spokesperson Ismail Kiirya today at the party headquarters in Kampala.
According to Kiirya, The report on the missing opposition supporters presented by the minister of State for internal affairs General David Muhozi, on Wednesday last week, was not what they expected despite the time and energy opposition invested in demanding for it.
He argues that the government caused opposition to boycott plenary and eventually passed a controversial law and worse stillpresented opposition a report which doesn’t have use.
“As the opposition we thought Gen. Muhoozi would have presented a footage of Mr Senteza who jumped off a car as claimed then he was knocked.” Kiirya said.
Adding that they thought government would provide answers as to when Kibalama left the country and also giv his exact location in Canada since they have the capacity to do that.
“Let Government just come out and apologize than playing these tricks because you have openly violated the human rights in Uganda.” Kiirya said.
