The leader of opposition in parliament Mathias Mpuga and defence and veteran affairs minister Vincent Bamulangaki Ssempijja, have faced-off during Masaka Diocesan Day Celebrations over the Missing 18 persons and other human rights violations for which the Opposition is boycotting Parliament’s plenary sittings.

The LOP, Mathias Mpuuga, challenged the minister, to come clean on the abductions and extrajudicial killing of Ugandans.

Amidst heckling from the congregation at Kitovu Sports Arena in Masaka City, Ssempijja expressed the government’s disappointment with the security agencies for taking long to conclude investigations in a number of cases.

He promises that the government will soon come out with a statement on the missing persons.
